Waste Water Department

The City of Geneva operates a Sequencing Batch Reactor treatment plant which was built in 2006 and updated in 2013.  The plant has a daily treatment capacity of 350,000 gallons with an average daily treatment flow of 250,000 gallons.

Any person wishing to connect with the sewer system should apply to the City.  A fee of $50 will be charged to the owner to tap into the sewer system inside City limits. Sewer service will not be supplied to people outside the corporate limits of the City.  The City requires property owners, occupants, or lessees of any premise within 300 feet of a sewer main to be connected to the sewer system and equipped with inside sewerage facilities.
